Roundtable “Security of Ukraine and its implications for Europe”

Ukrainian Think Tanks Liaison Office in Brussels in cooperation with the International Republican Institute and with support of the USA Mission to the EU and the International Renaissance Foundation organizes a visit of the Ukrainian experts to the Eastern European capitals (Budapest, Bratislava and Prague).  In cooperation with European Values Think-Tank and International Republican Institute a roundtable will be held in the Parliament of the Czech Republic on the topic of “Security of Ukraine and its implications for Europe”.

Ukrainian politician, civil society activist, expert in Euro-Atlantic integration.Born in Ukraine, Vinnytska oblast on April 22, 1958. 1993 – 1999, Director, International Department, National Bank of Ukraine. 2000 – 2001, Head of the Prime-minister’s Office at the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. 2001 – 2002, Vice-President, Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, Thessaloniki, Greece.2002 – 2004, Member of Parliament of Ukraine, Chairman of Banking and Financial Sub-committee. February – September 2005, Vice-Prime-minister of Ukraine for European integration. 2005 – 2006, Chief of Staff to the President of Ukraine. 2006 – 2008, Advisor to the President of Ukraine.

Prior to this, she was Project Manager at the Directorate of Internal Oversight of the Council of Europe (2013); Representative in Brussels of the Anti-Discrimination Centre“Memorial” and the “Sova” Center (2012); Research Fellow at the EU-Russia Centre in Brussels (2008 – 2011); Coordinator of the project on Monitoring of the EU Action Plan for Ukraine at the Razumkov Centre in Kyiv (2006-2007); Assistant Professor at the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine (2005 – 2010); Projects Director at the Centre for Peace, Conversion and Foreign Policy of Ukraine (2005 – 2006);  researcher at the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation, Regional Office to Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova in Kyiv (2003). She is a co-author of Chapter „Ukraine“ in the Freedom House publication „Nations in Transit“ for the last ten years.
