Program for parliamentary staffers

In March 2022, the European Values Center for Security Policy launched a training programme for assistants to Members of Parliament of the Czech Republic. The aim of the programme is to increase the expertise and competences of assistants to Members of Parliament of the Czech Republic in the field of national security, defence and foreign policy through regular lectures and workshops with leading experts from the Czech and foreign security community, mentoring, networking with their German and Slovak counterparts, and study trips abroad.

The programme provides a unique opportunity for the attendees to discuss the work of an assistant by sharing their experiences with assistants and professionals from the German Bundestag, the National Council of the Slovak Republic or the European Parliament.

The programme is supported by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, the Embassy of the United States of America in Prague and the BLÍŽKSOBĚ Foundation.
