Women in Security Policy Network discussed with Ms. Kateryna Levchenko

On Friday 21st April, the Information Defense Hub hosted a discussion with Ms. Kateryna Levchenko, Government Commissioner for Gender Policy of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Embassy of Canada in Prague.
 
Her Excellency Ms. Rekhi welcomed everyone at the Embassy and stressed the importance of United Nations Resolution No. 1325 (which aims to increase the participation of women and incorporate gender in peace and security efforts), and the ratification of Istanbul convention on Preventing and Combating Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence in implementing gender policies. In the subsequent speech, Ms. Levchenko shared Ukraine’s experience and hard work that was put into implementing the National Action Plan on the United Nations Security Council Resolution No. 1325 and the ratification of Istanbul Convention, the comprehensive nature of their realization in vis-à-vis the Russian aggression, and the progress on their practical implementation.
