Symposium „Towards a New Era of Japan – Central and Eastern Europe Collaboration: Economic Security, Counter-Disinformation, and Taiwan“ in Tokyo, Japan

On February 21, 2024, EVC Team attended a symposium called „Towards a New Era of Japan – Central and Eastern Europe Collaboration: Economic Security, Counter-Disinformation, and Taiwan“, organized by University of Tokyo’s The Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST). On the panel, EVC’s director Jakub Janda spoke about the economic security in CEE. Head of Red Watch Program, EVC sinologist Zuzana Košková spoke on disinformation and influence operations in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Head of Taiwan Office and analyst Marcin Jerzewski talked about CEE’s approach to Taiwan.
The presentations were followed by a Q&A with the audience and experts present.

The symposium, held on the University’s campus in Tokyo, Japan, was opened by opening Remarks by Masakazu Sugiyama the director of RCAST. Special Remarks were delivered by H.E. Martin Klučar, Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Tokyo.
