What we know about „fake news“ as part of Kremlin hybrid tactics in Central Europe

After the US elections, some media started to look into phenomenon of fake news, which apparently helped to manipulate part of the electorate.

There are different types of fake news websites and various motivations of people behind them.

Let us briefly introduce what we already know about disinformation outlets in Central Europe. Those pseudomedia often play a role of supporters of long-term policies of the Russian Federation, knowingly or unintentionally.
