On June 30, 2026, Dr. Olimpia Kot, Senior Project Coordinator at the European Values Center for Security Policy Taiwan Office, participated as a speaker in the Taiwan NextGen Foundation’s seminar series, From Her Voice to Global Action: Women Shaping Global Civil Society.

During the discussion, Dr. Kot introduced the work of the European Values Center Taiwan Office, highlighting its activities in the fields of democratic resilience, Indo-Pacific security, public diplomacy, and Taiwan–Europe cooperation. She also shared insights into the work of international non-governmental organizations, emphasizing the broad range of responsibilities involved in policy research, project coordination, public outreach, and stakeholder engagement.

The discussion further explored the role of women in international organizations and public policy. Dr. Kot emphasized the importance of increasing the visibility of women in expert discussions, conferences, and leadership positions, noting that diverse perspectives strengthen policymaking and contribute to more inclusive public debate.

The seminar provided an opportunity to engage with young professionals interested in international affairs and civil society, fostering dialogue on careers in the NGO sector and the role of international cooperation in addressing contemporary global challenges. The European Values Center Taiwan Office appreciates the invitation from the Taiwan NextGen Foundation and looks forward to future opportunities for cooperation.
