On October 26-27, the Republic of China (Taiwan) Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized the 2024 NGO International Affairs Talent Training Program. The two-day course was designed to equip Taiwanese talent with specialist knowledge in nongovernmental organizations management and international affairs and promote collaboration between Taiwanese civil society leaders and their overseas counterparts. During the program, EVC Taiwan Office Head introduced our think tank’s operations in Taiwan and the broader Indo-Pacific region and answered audience’s questions about the future trajectory of Taiwan-Europe relations and opportunities for Taiwanese NGOs to engage with European partners.
As the first European think tank to have established a permanent office in Taiwan, we remain committed to working closely with Taiwanese NGO partners, including joint projects, capacity-building programs, networking, and young talent initiatives. People-to-people ties are a strong foundation of informal albeit substantial relations between Taiwan and European countries.
