On October 8, 2025, EVC Taiwan Office Head Marcin Jerzewski participated in the inaugural 2025 NSP+ Think Tank Summit in Taipei, Taiwan, hosted by the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation. Jerzewski contributed as a panelist to the discussion on “Non-Red Supply Chain: Enhancing Indo-Pacific Connectivity Beyond Authoritarian Dependencies.” In his intervention, he focused on opportunities to strengthen Taiwan-Europe cooperation to enhance supply chain resilience for strategic technologies, including semiconductors and unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Jerzewski also drew on the findings of EVC’s recent study, “Chasing Convergence: The EU’s Partnerships in the Indo-Pacific and Implementation of the Global Gateway Initiative,” which explored how Taiwan can leverage its status as a key node in global supply chains to boost regional cooperation and develop a connectivity and infrastructure partnership with the European Union.
The Summit brought together over 20 speakers from 11 countries and more than 100 distinguished guests, serving as a platform for influential voices to exchange perspectives and explore concrete avenues for cooperation. As the first European think tank to have established a permanent presence in Taiwan, the European Values Center for Security Policy deeply values opportunities for meaningful dialogue with like-minded organizations from across the Indo-Pacific region.
Founded in 2018, the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation (TAEF) is Taiwan’s first policy-oriented think tank focusing on Southeast and South Asian affairs, and on promoting the New Southbound Policy (NSP) and NSP+. In the spirit of the NSP, TAEF fosters collaboration between Taiwan and partners across ASEAN, South Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, spearheading the NSP+ Think Tank, Youth, and NGO Corridors to strengthen regional community-building and long-term cooperation with like-minded partners.
