On 7-8 September 2026, the official bilateral annual Czech-Ukrainian Forum was held for the fourth time. European Values Center for Security Policy co-hosted this Forum in Prague alongside other Czech institutions.
EVC hosted sessions with Ukrainian and Czech experts focusing on Ukrainian experience in civic resilience.
The discussions focused on the following topics:
- What are the lessons for the civil society in the physical domain to withstand pressure and assist the society/state before and during the crisis, in context of national critical infrastructure services and NATO Resilience Baseline Requirements? Focus on: Societal and functional roles in civil resilience which civil society organisations play before and during a contingency. Practices of organising and managing volunteer civil society groups before and during a contingency. Interactions between civil society organizations, volunteer groups and state or military institutions before and during a contingency.
- Focus on economic shocks, supply chain pressure, pre-crisis and crisis regulation and procedures. Practices of regulating domestic economic policies in pre-contingency phases. Practices of regulating domestic economic policies during a contingency. Experience and expectations of supply chain and other economic pressure instigated by adversarial regimes against resilience of the targeted society.
