Discussion of Women in Security Policy Network How Conflict or Preparations for a Potential Conflict Change Perceptions of Gender Roles?

On Tuesday, June 6th, the Information Defense Hub, in partnership with the Taiwanese Office of the European Values, hosted a discussion as part of the Women in Security Policy Network, titled “How Conflict or Preparations for a Potential Conflict Change Perceptions of Gender Roles? Sharing Experience and Synergies from Ukraine and Taiwan“.
 
This discussion was conducted in a hybrid format and focused on how war and preparations for potential conflict impact gender roles, drawing on insights from Ukraine and Taiwan. It explored the involvement of women in defense and the role of media in this context. The esteemed speakers of this discussion were Kseniia Bukshina, a Ukrainian activist and humanitarian worker, who heads the Center for Constructive Journalism, and Dr. Wen Liu, a researcher from the Taiwanese Academy of Sciences. The discussion was moderated by Khrystyna Rybachok from the Information Defense Hub of European Values.
