In December 2022, our expert team conducted an advocacy trip to Berlin as part of the Information Defense Hub (IDH) project. They had an opportunity to hold several meetings and briefings with governmental and civil society experts, including the Berlin-based Ukrainian civil society representatives.
The meetings covered a wide range of topics, including the importance of Ukrainian resistance for Europe, the need for Ukraine to maintain its active European integration process and avoid frustration, and the fight against Russian propaganda.
During a briefing with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik e. V. German Council on Foreign Relations, the experts discussed the possibility of integrating the future reconstruction issue of Ukraine into the EU countries’ agenda. The European Stability Initiative suggested advocating for a technocratic process for Ukraine’s membership in the EU, and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung emphasized the importance of developing business support tools based on green energy.
One Ukrainian expert also participated in a public discussion titled “Winter of Solidarity with Ukraine”, organized by the Alliance of Ukrainian Organizations in Germany.
