EVC Taiwan Office at EU-Taiwan Drones Technology and Export Forum

On October 22, 2025, EVC Taiwan Office Head Marcin Jerzewski participated in the 2025 EU-Taiwan Forum on Environment and Science: EU-Taiwan Drones Technology and Export. The event was jointly organized by the European Economic and Trade Office, the EU Center in Taiwan, and TÜV Rheinland. Jerzewski moderated the session titled “EU-Taiwan Drone Policy Update,” which explored current opportunities and challenges to enhancing cooperation between both regions in creating a resilient, “non-red” supply chain for unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).
 
“Taiwan is definitely an important partner for Europe in its quest for strategic autonomy, which also includes technological sovereignty,” Jerzewski stated.
 
The discussion featured the participation of Mr. Tomasz Husak, Adviser – Relations with the EU Agency for the Space Program and the European Space Agency, Dr. Zhen-Wei Chiang (江振瑋),Executive Director, Department of NGO International Affairs, Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Prof. Cho-Hsin Su (蘇卓馨), Associate Vice President for International Cooperation, National Chengchi University.
