On September 19, 2025, Senior Research Fellow Setsuo Nomura from the Japan Maritime Center (JMC) visited the Prague office of the European Values Center for Security Policy (EVC). He met with Japan Project Lead David Toman and Junior Analyst Ondřej Málek.

Founded in 2007, the Japan Maritime Center conducts research and develops policy proposals related to maritime affairs, while also supporting public-interest initiatives in the maritime sector and more.

During the meeting, EVC and JMC discussed recent developments in domestic and international politics, along with their ongoing research and projects. Both sides agreed to exchange publicly available findings.
