European Values Think Tank presents a new Kremlin Watch<\/a> Report on\u00a0Kremlin influence in the 2018 Czech presidential elections. Authors are Mark\u00e9ta Krej\u010d\u00ed, Junior Analyst, Veronika V\u00edchov\u00e1, Analyst, and Jakub Janda, Head of the program. Here are the takeaways:<\/p>\n

1. Massive disinformation campaign was orchestrated by the pro-Zeman and pro-Kremlin\u00a0disinformation community of several dozen disinformation-creating websites in order to demobilize some\u00a0of the voters who would have voted for Ji\u0159\u00ed Draho\u0161.<\/p>\n

2. Extensive disinformation campaign was organized by unknown entities through direct-email\u00a0chains. Its extent and sources remain unknown.<\/p>\n

3. The de facto campaign manager of President Zeman, Martin Nejedl\u00fd, whose personal debt was\u00a0paid off by the Moscow headquarters of Lukoil, orchestrated the campaign funding in a way that it is still\u00a0not known who really provided the majority of campaign funding for President Zeman<\/p>\n

4. Disclosed funding of his campaign and also the third-party which organized smearing billboard &\u00a0advertisement campaign against Ji\u0159\u00ed Draho\u0161 have links to China.<\/p>\n
