Lee sought to <a href=\"https:\/\/eastasiaforum.org\/2025\/06\/09\/signs-of-convergence-on-south-korean-foreign-policy-strategy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">soften<\/a> this profile during the campaign, but underlying tensions remain.
