Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has changed the way we think about European energy. The Czech Republic is also looking for a way forward. Does sustainability enhance our security? What are the risks associated with different types of sources, what should the state do in the near future to strengthen its energy security? What are the implications for Czech business?<\/p>

The European Values Security Centre, together with the Institute of Empirical Research STEM and the 2nd Economic Transformation Initiative, organised a working breakfast focused on the topic of energy security.<\/p>

Jakub Janda, Director of the European Values Security Centre, gave the opening remarks and Martin Jiru\u0161ek from the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University in Brno then presented an analysis of energy security, which you can read here<\/strong><\/a>. This was followed by a discussion focused on issues related to the energy future of the Czech Republic with sociologist Martin Bucht\u00edk (STEM), journalist Martin Ehl (Hospod\u00e1\u0159sk\u00e9 noviny) and energy expert Karel Vold\u0159ich (ISFC).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
