Guests who were not able to attend the event in person could watch a live stream of the public part of the summit, a recording of which is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@evropskehodnoty\/streams\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p><p>Experts and government officials shared best practices and responses to current threats arising mainly from the influence of Russia and China, with a focus on<\/p><ul><li>How to protect European and transatlantic security,<\/li><li>Energy security in light of the Russian aggression against Ukraine,<\/li><li>The postwar reconstruction of Ukraine,<\/li><li>Confronting Russian and Chinese proxies in Europe,<\/li><li>How effective strategic communication can help combat disinformation,<\/li><li>Chinese interference at universities in Europe, and<\/li><li>The role of Taiwan in Europe\u2019s pivot to the Indo-Pacific.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><br \/>For the first time in the summit\u2019s history, Orb\u00e1n&#8217;s Hungary was a major topic.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6f2fb9e elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"6f2fb9e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e15d1c4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e15d1c4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>RUSSIAN AND CHINESE INFLUENCE, COUNTERING DISINFORMATION, AND STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION<\/h2><p>In his opening remarks, <strong>V\u00edt Raku\u0161an, first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the Czech Republic, <\/strong>stated that the Czech government will remain committed to its unwavering support for Ukraine and democratic values. Among concrete measures to combat security threats, he mentioned the <strong>Counter Foreign Interference Manual for the Czech Academic Sector, <\/strong>which contributes to the understanding of the need to manage the risks of foreign influence. He also spoke about China&#8217;s influence and the Czech response to it and <strong>officially declared that one of his deputy ministers would soon be visiting Taiwan, elevating cooperation between the Czech and Taiwanese governments to a new level.<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marcin Jerzewski, head of the Taiwan office of the European Values Center for Security Policy, spoke about the <strong>Czech Republic\u2019s strengthening role in the Indo-Pacific<\/strong>.
