Victoria Vdovychenko (PhD) is a policy advisor and associate professor at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, focusing on European and Euro-Atlantic integration, “EU branding,” and communication strategies. Her fields of expertise and experience include public policy, strategic communication, national security and intelligence, and European integration. She holds a PhD in world history and diplomacy, as well as master’s degrees in the foreign policy of Ukraine and linguistics with a focus on English and Italian. She applied her extensive policy, fundraising, and NGO experience in her work as the founder and former director of the School of Good Governance project, where she collaborated heavily with governmental officials and international NGOs to conduct workshops on governmental reform in Ukraine. From 2018 to 2020, Victoria was a board member of the Professional Government of Ukraine Association. She has also provided policy expertise to organizations including the Center for Civilians in Conflict, the USAID EDGE SOERR project implemented by the International Development Group, and the Independent Anti-Corruption Commission (NAKO). As an active researcher, she has published widely on Italian, Ukrainian, and European political and civil affairs. Victoria is fluent in Ukrainian and speaks English, Italian, French, and Polish. At the EVC’s Information Defense Hub, Victoria focuses primarily on reconstruction, governance, and reforms in Ukraine.
