Monika specializes in transatlantic security with a focus on disinformation and authoritarian influence. She is the Senior Director for Emerging Threats at CounterAction, a boutique digital threat intelligence consultancy. Prior to joining CounterAction, she represented the Czech Republic at the EU’s East Stratcom Task Force, developing public outreach and strategic communications campaigns to counter Russian disinformation. She also worked on the ongoing development of the EU’s policy portfolio against disinformation and foreign interference. Monika has joined the European Values Center for the second time, having worked with the Kremlin Watch Program from 2017-18. She holds an MPhil in political science from the University of Oxford, St Antony’s College (2016).
