Pot\u00e9, co se v roce 2016 dostala k moci prezidentka Cchaj Jing-wen (\u8521\u82f1\u6587) z Demokratick\u00e9 pokrokov\u00e9 strany (DPP), zah\u00e1jil Peking snahu o\u00a0p\u0159ebr\u00e1n\u00ed form\u00e1ln\u00edch diplomatick\u00fdch spojenc\u016f Tchaj-peje.<\/strong>\u00a0B\u011bhem Cchajina p\u016fsoben\u00ed p\u0159e\u0161lo deset zem\u00ed od Tchaj-peje k Pekingu, v\u010detn\u011b dvou tichomo\u0159sk\u00fdch ostrovn\u00edch zem\u00ed v roce 2019:\u00a0\u0160alamounov\u00fdch ostrov\u016f<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0a\u00a0Kiribati<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong>\u00a0Pouh\u00e9 dva dny po tchajwansk\u00fdch prezidentsk\u00fdch a parlamentn\u00edch volb\u00e1ch v lednu 2024, b\u011bhem nich\u017e si DPP zajistila bezprecedentn\u00ed t\u0159et\u00ed prezidentsk\u00e9 obdob\u00ed, p\u0159eru\u0161ilo form\u00e1ln\u00ed diplomatick\u00e9 styky s Tchaj-pej\u00ed tak\u00e9\u00a0Nauru<\/strong><\/a>. Peking uplat\u0148uje v zem\u00edch, kter\u00e9 jsou spojenci Tchaj-peje,\u00a0\u201ediplomacii \u0161ekov\u00fdch kn\u00ed\u017eek\u201c<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0a l\u00e1k\u00e1 je na sliby lukrativn\u00edch hospod\u00e1\u0159sk\u00fdch dohod.<\/p>

Roz\u0161i\u0159uj\u00edc\u00ed se spolupr\u00e1ce mezi\u00a0\u0160alamounov\u00fdmi ostrovy a \u010cLR<\/strong>\u00a0dokl\u00e1d\u00e1 strategick\u00fd v\u00fdznam tichomo\u0159sk\u00fdch ostrovn\u00edch st\u00e1t\u016f pro Peking. Honiara a Peking se rozhodly prohloubit spole\u010dn\u00e9 projekty t\u00fdkaj\u00edc\u00ed se spolupr\u00e1ce v oblasti\u00a0prosazov\u00e1n\u00ed pr\u00e1va<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0a\u00a0spolupr\u00e1ce v oblastibezpe\u010dnosti<\/strong><\/a>. Hlavn\u00edm probl\u00e9mem spojen\u00fdm s t\u011bmito dohodami je jejich nepr\u016fhlednost, nebo\u0165 jejich pln\u00e1 zm\u011bn\u00ed nebyla zve\u0159ejn\u011bna. Krom\u011b vztah\u016f mezi Funafuti a Tchaj-pej\u00ed byla dal\u0161\u00edm v\u00fdznamn\u00fdm t\u00e9matem ned\u00e1vn\u00fdch tuvalsk\u00fdch voleb\u00a0smlouva o Falepilijsk\u00e9 unii<\/strong><\/a>. Smlouva mezi Austr\u00e1li\u00ed a Tuvalu, kter\u00e1 se zab\u00fdv\u00e1\u00a0bezpe\u010dnostn\u00ed spoluprac\u00ed, pohybem lid\u00ed<\/strong>\u00a0a rostouc\u00edm\u00a0nebezpe\u010d\u00edm klimatick\u00e9 krize,<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>byla pro Canberru zp\u016fsobem, jak Funafuti odvr\u00e1tit z dosahu Pekingu. Smlouva sice obsahuje ustanoven\u00ed o ochran\u011b Tuvalu a jeho obyvatel, ale z\u00e1rove\u0148 d\u00e1v\u00e1 Austr\u00e1lii\u00a0pr\u00e1vo veta<\/strong>\u00a0nad jakoukoli bezpe\u010dnostn\u00ed dohodou, kterou by Tuvalu cht\u011blo uzav\u0159\u00edt s jin\u00fdmi st\u00e1ty. Canberra je otev\u0159en\u011b znepokojena rostouc\u00edm bezpe\u010dnostn\u00edm vlivem \u010c\u00edny v Tichomo\u0159\u00ed, v\u010detn\u011b \u0160alamounov\u00fdch ostrov\u016f, jak dokl\u00e1d\u00e1\u00a0spole\u010dn\u00e9 prohl\u00e1\u0161en\u00ed<\/a>\u00a0australsk\u00e9ho premi\u00e9ra Anthonyho Albanese a jeho novoz\u00e9landsk\u00e9ho prot\u011bj\u0161ku Chrise Hipkinse pot\u00e9, co Honiara podepsala s Pekingem dohodu o policejn\u00ed ochran\u011b. Smlouva o Falepilijsk\u00e9 unii je pokusem Z\u00e1padu zaplnit\u00a0mocensk\u00e9 vakuum<\/strong>\u00a0v regionu. Americk\u00e1 viceprezidentka Kamala Harris b\u011bhem sv\u00e9 n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bvy F\u00f3ra tichomo\u0159sk\u00fdch ostrov\u016f (The Pacific Islands Forum) v roce 2022 tuto dynamiku uznala a\u00a0\u0159ekla<\/a>: \u201eUzn\u00e1v\u00e1me, \u017ee v posledn\u00edch letech se tichomo\u0159sk\u00fdm ostrov\u016fm mo\u017en\u00e1 nedost\u00e1valo diplomatick\u00e9 pozornosti a podpory, kterou si zaslou\u017e\u00edte.\u201c EU rovn\u011b\u017e nebyla v Tichomo\u0159\u00ed p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 diplomaticky aktivn\u00ed, co\u017e lze \u010d\u00e1ste\u010dn\u011b p\u0159i\u010d\u00edst zpo\u017ed\u011bn\u00ed p\u0159i uzav\u00edr\u00e1n\u00ed\u00a0dohody po Cotonou<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>(Post-Cotonou Agreement), kter\u00e1 se zhmotnila a\u017e v \u00fanoru 2024 jako\u00a0Samojsk\u00e1 dohoda<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>
