Program bezpečnostních strategií

The Security Strategies Program focuses mainly on the security and political interests of the Czech Republic in the context of the transatlantic alliance, the eastern wing of NATO, relations with Poland and the aggressive strategies of Russia and China towards the Czech Republic. One of the main priorities of the EVC Security Strategies Program is to raise the level of the Czech debate on strategically important issues of our state. This goal was set by the Security Strategies Program as a priority, among other things, given that the level of discussion affects the quality of the “political assignment” for the public administration.

Part of the fulfilment of this goal is advocacy and the publication activities of the Head of the Security Strategies Program (www.blog.aktualne.cz/blogy/martin-svarovsky.phpwww.onwar.euwww.russkiivopros.comwww.ikdp.cz), as well as advocacy and the publication activities concerning European Values in general. For this purpose, the so-called “PBS Round Tables”, closed-door professional meetings of representatives of the executive, legislation and relevant non-governmental experts are regularly organized.

Konference o obranyschopnosti východního křídla NATO ve spolupráci s Nadací Konrada Adanauera, Berlín 19. 11.2019

The NATO Eastern Wing Defence Conference was divided into four thematic panels: “Current Task for the Alliance: Securing the NATO Eastern Flank”; “Tripartite structure: How can Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic strengthen their joint cooperation in the field of defence and security?”; “Regional solutions: Can regional cooperation improve resilience? Case V4, B9, 3SI, V4-DE”; “New Challenges: Cohesion between Europe and the US”. Leading experts from the ranks of citizens and military members from seven countries, as well as members of governments and academics. The conference highlighted the importance of hard security – a security policy to combat external threats – and proved that NATO’s eastern wing protects not only our interests but also our values. Increasing the security on the Eastern Flank therefore represents a benefit for the entire alliance. However, the record on intimidation policy concept must be clarified: it is a non-violent approach – we must intimidate the enemy to avoid conflict.

Geopolitické soupeření v kybernetické a vojenské doméně, Konference Evropských hodnot a Nadace Konrada Adenauera, Berlín, 5. 10. 2020

Konference byla rozdělená do dvou panelů:

  • Geopolitická soutěž ve vojenské oblasti: Jak by mělo NATO reagovat na Rusko a Čínu?

While the perception of the Alliance on Russia’s threats is relatively stable, the recent debate on how to approach relations with China will be important for the future of the Alliance’s strategy in all domains. In the future, how should NATO strategically deal with the concurrence of threats posed by Russia and China?

  • Geopolitická konkurence v kybernetické oblasti: Jak by si demokracie měly zabezpečit 5G sítě?

Kybernetická doména získává na důležitosti, protože její chápání přechází z technické záležitosti do strategicky důležité průřezové oblasti. Nadcházející vývoj sítí 5G má geopolitické a vojenské důsledky, protože je intenzivně diskutován mezi spojenci. Jak by měly demokratické země přistupovat k budování svých 5G sítí?
